Description:
At 559 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a cluster of strong
thunderstorms over McGregor, or near Cape Coral, moving west at 5
mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and pea size hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
possible.
Locations impacted include...
Cape Coral, Fort Myers, East Dunbar, Matlacha, Palmona Park, Harlem
Heights, Lochmoor Waterway Estates, Iona, Cypress Lake, McGregor,
Pine Manor, Matlacha Isles-Matlacha Shores, St. James City, Villas,
Pine Island Center, San Carlos Park, Burnt Store Marina, Saint James
City, Page Park, and Punta Rassa.
Instruction:
If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.
Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to
localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.
