Description:
At 216 PM EDT/116 PM CDT/, Doppler radar was tracking a strong
thunderstorm 11 miles southwest of Vernon, moving east at 25 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects.
Locations impacted include...
Vernon, Blountstown, Eglin Air Force Base, Live Oak, Ponce De Leon,
Altha, Caryville, Wausau, Westville, Ebro, Clarksville, Moose Pond,
Selman, Abe Springs, Whitehead Crossroads, Chipola, Camps Head, Rock
Hill, Scotts Ferry, and Holmes Valley.
Instruction:
If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.
Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to
localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.
