Description:
At 517 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms
centered near Ratliff, or 8 miles south of Callahan, moving east at
10 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts around 40 mph and minor flooding due to heavy
rainfall.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor flooding due to heavy rainfall is
possible.
Locations impacted include...
Jacksonville, Callahan, Jacksonville International Arpt, Cisco
Gardens, Ortega, Bryceville, Nassau Village-Ratliff, Ratliff,
Oceanway, and Normandy.
Instruction:
If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.
Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to
localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.
Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm.
