Description:
At 545 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a couple of strong
thunderstorms centered over San Mateo, or near East Palatka. These
storms were drifting northwest.
HAZARD...Wind gusts 40 to 50 mph and heavy rainfall.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects.
Locations impacted include...
Palatka, Pomona Park, East Palatka, Satsuma, and San Mateo.
Instruction:
If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.
Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.
