Description:
At 437 PM EDT, National Weather Service meteorologists were tracking
a strong thunderstorm over Orangetree, or near Golden Gate Estates.
This storm was nearly stationary.
HAZARD...Wind gusts of 45 to 50 mph and half inch hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor damage to outdoor objects is
possible.
Locations impacted include...
Golden Gate Estates, Ave Maria, Orangetree, Big Corkscrew Island,
North Naples, Miles City, Corkscrew Swamp Sanctuary, Intersection
I-75 And Everglades Blvd, and Quail Creek Estate.
Instruction:
These winds can down small tree limbs and branches, and blow around
unsecured small objects. Seek shelter in a safe building until the
storm passes.
