Description:
At 417 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along
a line extending from 11 miles northeast of Kings Bay Base to near
Ratliff. Movement was south at 10 to 20 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts of 45 to 55 mph.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects.
Locations impacted include...
St. Marys, Kingsland, Fernandina Beach, Hilliard, Callahan,
Jacksonville International Arpt, Kings Bay Base, Yulee, Kings Ferry,
and Cisco Gardens.
Instruction:
If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.
Torrential rainfall is also occurring with these storms and may lead
to localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.
