Description:
At 531 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along
a line extending from 6 miles northwest of Statenville to near
Jasper. Movement was north at 5 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts of 45 to 55 mph, nickel size hail, and excessive
cloud-to-ground lightning.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
possible. Excessive cloud-to-ground lightning is occurring.
Locations impacted include...
Jasper, Jennings, Statenville, and Mayday.
