* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- The ice jam 10 miles downriver from Russian Mission is still
in place as of 4PM Wednesday. The ice jam is about 60 miles
long with the most extensive overbank flooding occurring at
Holy Cross. The Holy Cross runway is completely submerged and
numerous structures in the lower part of town are surrounded
with water being reported in several homes. At Anvik and
Grayling, water levels continued to rise on Wednesday with
low lying roads and a few structures being inundated. When
the Russian Mission ice jam releases, water levels could
rapidly rise again at Russian Mission as all the backwater in
the Holy Cross area drains.
