...FLOOD WATCH CONTINUES FOR MOLOKAI MAUI LANAI KAHOOLAWE AND THE
BIG ISLAND...
* WHAT...Flash flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be
possible.
* WHERE...Maui, Molokai, Lanai, Kahoolawe, and the Big Island.
* WHEN...Through late tonight.
* IMPACTS...Flood prone roads and other low lying areas may be
closed due to elevated runoff and overflowing streams due to
excessive rain over saturated ground. Urban areas may receive more
significant flooding and property damage due to rapid runoff.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- Moisture left from the departing kona low and a trough aloft
will bring possible heavy rain and isolated thunderstorms
tonight.
