Description:
* WHAT...Extensive flooding caused by high water and heavy ice runs
continues.
* WHERE...Pilot Station.
* WHEN...Until 100 AM AKDT Wednesday.
* IMPACTS...Extensive flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other
low-lying and flood-prone locations is occurring.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 800 PM AKDT, water levels had peaked at the Yukon River
Pilot Station gage at 33.76 feet Sunday afternoon and have
begun to slowly drop Sunday night into Monday. Low-lying
areas remain flooded. All roads in Pilot Station are
impassable unless by boat. Multiple homes are inundated with
water. Water levels have exceeded 2024 and are second only to
1989. Residents should continue to exercise caution in and
around flood waters.
