* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 959 PM AKDT, water levels had peaked at the Yukon River
Pilot Station gage at 33.76 feet Sunday afternoon and have
begun to slowly drop as of Sunday evening. Low-lying areas
remain flooded. All roads in Pilot Station are impassable
unless by boat. Multiple homes are inundated with water.
Water levels have exceeded 2024 and are second only to 1989.
Residents should continue to exercise caution in and around
flood waters.
- The breakup front remains located downriver of Mountain
Village. It is moving slowly into the remaining in-place ice.
Plenty of high water is still pushing down the river from the
jam near Holy Cross a few days ago. As the surge of high
water moves downstream, it is causing flooding in several
communities along the Yukon.
- For Yukon River at Pilot Station:
At 7:45pm the stage was 33.5 feet.
