* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- As of 7 PM Saturday,the breakup front was located
approximately 12 miles downriver of Mountain Village. It is
moving slowly into the remaining in-place ice. Plenty of high
water is still pushing down the river from the jam near Holy
Cross a few days ago. As the surge of high water moves
downstream, it is causing flooding in several communities
along the Yukon.
- As of Sunday morning, water levels are continuing to rise
following significant rises on Saturday. Low-lying areas were
flooded. Water levels have exceeded 2024 and are second only
to 1989. Water levels could continue to rise slowly until the
breakup front moves farther downstream. Residents should
continue to exercise caution in and around flood waters.
- For Yukon River at Pilot Station:
At 10:45am the stage was 33.6 feet.
