- As of 7 PM Saturday,The breakup front was located
approximately 12 miles downriver of Mountain Village. It is
moving slowly into the remaining in-place ice. Plenty of high
water is still pushing down the river from the jam near Holy
Cross a few days ago. As the surge of high water moves
downstream, it is causing flooding in several communities
along the Yukon.
- As of Sunday morning, reports indicate that water levels
continue to slowly receed. Some low lying areas remain
impacted and residents should continue to use caution.
