Description:
* WHAT...Small stream flooding caused by excessive rainfall is
expected.
* WHERE...Along Rio Culebrinas in Aguada, Aguadilla, Moca and San
Sebastian.
* WHEN...Until 500 AM AST Saturday.
* IMPACTS...Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying
and flood-prone locations is imminent or occurring.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 553 PM AST, USGS gage reports indicated that Rio
Culebrinas is almost at minor flood stage in Aguada.
Additionally, the upstream gage continues to increase. This
could result in river flood later in the evening hours.
Flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the
warned area.
- Low water crossings in Sector Cocos, Barrio Marias in Moca.
Road PR-110, km 10.1 interior. Around Barrio Espinar in
Aguada.
Instruction:
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.
