For the Genesee River...including Avon...Minor flooding is forecast. * WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast. * WHERE...Genesee River at Avon. * WHEN...Until this evening. * IMPACTS...At 33.0 feet, Flood stage, river overflows at many areas from Geneseo to Scottsville, but mainly in agricultural lands with little damage to structures. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 4:15 AM EDT Wednesday the stage was 33.47 feet. - Bankfull stage is 30.0 feet. - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours ending at 4:15 AM EDT Wednesday was 33.47 feet. - Forecast...The river is near crest early this morning, and is expected to fall below flood stage this afternoon and continue falling to 22.4 feet early Saturday morning. - Flood stage is 33.0 feet. - Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of 33.4 feet on 03/06/1979. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
