...The National Weather Service in Buffalo NY has issued a Flood
Warning for the following rivers in New York...
Tonawanda Creek At Attica affecting Genesee and Wyoming Counties.
For the Tonawanda Creek...including Attica...Minor flooding is
forecast.
* WHAT...Minor flooding is forecast.
* WHERE...Tonawanda Creek at Attica.
* WHEN...Through early tomorrow afternoon.
* IMPACTS...At 8.0 feet, Flood stage, flooding begins on Prospect
Street north of the bridge which may impact a commercial plaza
there. Flooding on the Attica rodeo grounds and youth athletic
field on Exchange Street.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 7:46 PM EDT Tuesday the stage was 7.63 feet.
- Bankfull stage is 7.0 feet.
- Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage
this evening to a crest of 9.7 feet just after midnight
tonight. It will then fall below flood stage tomorrow
morning.
- Flood stage is 8.0 feet.
- Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of
9.3 feet on 07/13/2017.
