...The National Weather Service in Grand Forks ND has issued a Flood
Warning for the following rivers in Minnesota...
Snake River AT Alvarado affecting Marshall County.
.Water moving downstream from snow melt will result in minor
flooding along the Snake River at Alvarado by Thursday morning
continuing into Friday night.
* WHAT...Minor flooding is forecast.
* WHERE...Snake River at Alvarado.
* WHEN...From Thursday morning to Saturday afternoon.
* IMPACTS...At 106.0 feet, MINOR FLOOD STAGE. Storm sewer flood
gates are closed.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 8:30 PM CDT Wednesday the stage was 100.9 feet.
- Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage
late tomorrow morning to a crest of 106.3 feet tomorrow
evening. It will then fall below flood stage late Friday
morning.
- Flood stage is 106.0 feet.
Instruction:
Safety message - Turn around, don't drown. Don't travel through
flooded areas. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles.
Caution is urged when walking near riverbanks.
