Flood Warning for the following rivers in Iowa...
Iowa River at Marengo affecting Iowa and Benton Counties.
* WHAT...Minor flooding is forecast.
* WHERE...Iowa River at Marengo.
* WHEN...From Monday afternoon until further notice.
* IMPACTS...At 16.0 feet, Water affects agricultural land along the
river. Water is several feet deep in places.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 8:00 PM CDT Saturday the stage was 12.8 feet and rising.
- Forecast...The river will rise to 14.4 feet early tomorrow
afternoon. It will then fall to 14.3 feet early Monday
morning. It will rise above flood stage early Monday
afternoon to 15.8 feet early Tuesday afternoon. It will then
fall Wednesday evening. It will rise to 16.2 feet Saturday,
April 11. It will then fall again but remain above flood
stage.
- Flood stage is 15.0 feet.
Instruction:
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
Caution is urged when walking near riverbanks.
