Wabash River at Covington. .Multiple rounds of rainfall will bring minor lowland flooding to the Wabash River basin over the next couple of days that could hang around through much of next week. * WHAT...Minor flooding is forecast. * WHERE...Wabash River at Lafayette. * WHEN...From Thursday afternoon to Monday morning. * IMPACTS...At 14.9 feet, Lowland flooding develops. High water approaches river cabins near Davis Prairie Road. Water covers some spots on low county roads. The lower end of Tapawingo Park in West Lafayette begins to flood, along with the Heritage Trail. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 1:30 PM EDT Wednesday the stage was 6.2 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage tomorrow afternoon to a crest of 14.6 feet Friday evening.
