...The Flood Warning continues for the following rivers in Illinois...Indiana... Wabash River from Lafayette to Riverton. .Lowland flooding will continue along the Wabash River this week. The crest is just past Terre Haute, and is forecast to reach Riverton on Friday. Minor flooding should end on Friday at Lafayette, but continue into Monday downriver at Hutsonville and Riverton. Rain chances will move in to end the week, but amounts are not expected to make an impact on area rivers. A more active pattern arriving next week could bring additional rises to area rivers. * WHAT...Minor flooding is forecast. * WHERE...Wabash River at Hutsonville Legacy Power Plant Site. * WHEN...Until Tuesday morning. * IMPACTS...At 20.0 feet, Leaverton Park in Palestine and park in Hutsonville begin to flood. Agricultural flooding spreads to higher land. Seep water is noticeable behind levees. Some elevated river cottages are surrounded by water. Several county or township roads east of Lincoln Heritage Trail between Palestine and Hutsonville in Crawford County Illinois are impassable. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - There is no current observed data. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 19.6 feet early tomorrow afternoon.
