...The Flood Warning is extended for the following river in Indiana... Wabash River at Lafayette and Covington. ...The Flood Warning continues for the following river in Illinois... Indiana... Wabash River at Montezuma, Terre Haute, Hutsonville Legacy Power Plant Site, and Riverton. .Lowland flooding will continue along the Wabash River this week. The crest is near Terre Haute, but it will not reach Vincennes until Friday night. Minor flooding should end by this weekend on the upper Wabash, but continue into early next week on parts of the middle and lower Wabash. Dry weather is expected until Thursday, when low chances of rainfall will lie north of Interstate 70. A much better chance of seeing rainfall will come Friday, especially near and north of the Interstate. Rain chances are expected to move out Friday night. * WHAT...Minor flooding is forecast. * WHERE...Wabash River at Hutsonville Legacy Power Plant Site. * WHEN...Until Wednesday, April 15. * IMPACTS...At 20.0 feet, Leaverton Park in Palestine and park in Hutsonville begin to flood. Agricultural flooding spreads to higher land. Seep water is noticeable behind levees. Some elevated river cottages are surrounded by water. Several county or township roads east of Lincoln Heritage Trail between Palestine and Hutsonville in Crawford County Illinois are impassable. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - There is no current observed data. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 19.8 feet early Thursday afternoon.
