...The Flood Warning is extended for the following river in Indiana... Wabash River at Lafayette and Covington. ...The Flood Warning continues for the following river in Illinois... Indiana... Wabash River at Montezuma, Terre Haute, Hutsonville Legacy Power Plant Site, and Riverton. .Lowland flooding will continue along the Wabash River this week. The crest is near Terre Haute, but it will not reach Vincennes until Friday night. Minor flooding should end by this weekend on the upper Wabash, but continue into early next week on parts of the middle and lower Wabash. Dry weather is expected until Thursday, when low chances of rainfall will lie north of Interstate 70. A much better chance of seeing rainfall will come Friday, especially near and north of the Interstate. Rain chances are expected to move out Friday night. * WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast. * WHERE...Wabash River at Terre Haute. * WHEN...Until early Monday afternoon. * IMPACTS...At 20.5 feet, Residential property of about 50 river cabins begin to flood. North Lake and Izaak Walton Areas near West Terre Haute begin to flood. Flooding closes more county roads. Lowland agricultural flooding is in progress. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 8:30 PM EDT Tuesday /7:30 PM CDT Tuesday/ the stage was 20.3 feet. - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours ending at 8:30 PM EDT Tuesday /7:30 PM CDT Tuesday/ was 20.4 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to fall below flood stage early Monday morning and continue falling and remain below flood stage. - Flood stage is 16.5 feet. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
