Illinois...
Des Plaines River near Gurnee affecting Lake IL County.
Des Plaines River near Russell affecting Lake IL County.
Des Plaines River at Lincolnshire affecting Lake IL and Cook
Counties.
For the Des Plaines River...including Russell, Gurnee,
Lincolnshire...Minor flooding is forecasted.
* WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is
forecasted to continue.
* WHERE...Des Plaines River from US-41 in Gurnee downstream to
Townline Road in Vernon Hills, including the Gurnee gauge.
* WHEN...Until late Friday evening.
* IMPACTS...At 9.0 feet, Kilbourne Road and Emerald Avenue
threatened near Grand Avenue in Gurnee.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 8:30 AM CDT Wednesday the stage was 8.4 feet.
- Forecast...The river is expected to gradually fall from this
afternoon onward, and fall below flood stage Friday
afternoon.
- Flood stage is 7.0 feet.

A Flood Warning means water levels above flood stage are imminent or
may already be occurring. Persons along rivers and streams in the
warned area should take immediate precautions to protect life and
property.
