Des Plaines River near Russell affecting Lake IL County. * WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast. * WHERE...Des Plaines River from US-41 in Gurnee downstream to Townline Road in Vernon Hills, including the Gurnee gauge. * WHEN...Until early Friday afternoon. * IMPACTS...At 9.0 feet, Kilbourne Road and Emerald Avenue threatened near Grand Avenue in Gurnee. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 7:30 PM CDT Monday the stage was 8.1 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 8.4 feet Tuesday evening.
