For the Des Plaines River...including Russell...Minor flooding is forecast. * WHAT...Minor flooding is forecast. * WHERE...Des Plaines River from IL/WI state line downstream to US-41 in Gurnee, including the Russell gauge. * WHEN...From Saturday morning to early Tuesday morning. * IMPACTS...At 7.0 feet, Low-lying wetlands and agricultural land is inundated near the river. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 8:30 PM CDT Friday the stage was 6.5 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage tomorrow morning to a crest of 7.4 feet early Sunday morning.
