Description:
At 156 PM HST, radar indicated that heavy showers have diminished,
with rain rates of 0.5 to 1 inch per hour lingering over southeast
Molokai. Emergency management reported the closure of Kamehameha V
Highway near mile marker 7 due to flooding, and water levels at the
gage in Kawela Gulch remain high.
HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by heavy rain.

IMPACT...Flooding in drainages, streams, rivers, roads,
properties, and other low-lying areas. Public road
closures possible in some areas. Landslides are possible
in steep terrain.
Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
Pukoo, Ualapue, Kamalo, Halawa Valley, Kawela and Kalaupapa
National Park.
Instruction:
Stay away from streams, rivers, drainage ditches, and culverts, even
if they are currently dry.
