The National Weather Service in Peachtree City has issued a Fire Weather Watch for low relative humidity and gusty winds, which is in effect from Wednesday morning through Wednesday evening. * Affected Area...South-Central Georgia including the following: Crisp, Wilcox, Dodge, Telfair, Wheeler, Montgomery, Toombs, Emanuel, Treutlen, Laurens, Pulaski, Dooly, Houston, Bleckley, Johnson, Jefferson, Twigs, Wilkinson, Washington, Glascock, and Warren. * Timing...Noon to 8 PM Wednesday * Winds...15 to 20 mph; with gusts to 25 mph. * Relative Humidity...Less than 25% * Temperatures...70 to 75 degrees * Impacts...With elevated winds and low relative humidities, critical fire weather conditions are possible. Outdoor burning is strongly discouraged.
