Description: 
At 712 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a cluster of strong thunderstorms along a line extending from near East Lyme to Westbrook to 7 miles south of Guilford. Movement was east at 25 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and pea size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to outdoor objects is possible. Locations impacted include... New London, Guilford, Clinton, Groton, Old Saybrook, Salem, Chester, Mystic, Waterford, East Lyme, Ledyard, East Haddam, Old Lyme, Westbrook, and Killingworth.
Instruction: 
If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building. Torrential rainfall is also occurring with these storms and may lead to localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways. A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 900 PM EDT for southern Connecticut.
