Description:
At 537 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm over
Wolcott, moving east at 35 mph.
HAZARD...Winds in excess of 30 mph and half inch hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to outdoor objects is
possible.
Locations impacted include...
Waterbury, Meriden, Middletown, Naugatuck, Wolcott, East Hampton,
Cheshire, Cromwell, Portland, Prospect, Middlebury, Middlefield, and
Lake Pocotopaug--East Hampton.
Instruction:
If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.
Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm.
