Description:
At 1028 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along
a line extending from near Beacon to near Pomona to Rockaway.
Movement was east at 25 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and pea size hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to outdoor objects is
possible.
Locations impacted include...
Danbury, New City, Paramus, West Milford, Ossining, Ridgewood,
Peekskill, Monsey, Nanuet, Ramsey, Ringwood, Haverstraw, Tarrytown,
Pompton Lakes, and Mount Kisco.
Instruction:
If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.
A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until midnight EDT for
northeastern New Jersey...and southeastern New York.
