Description: 
At 519 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along a line extending from near Yorktown Heights to Upper Nyack to near Pearl River. Movement was east at 30 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and pea size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to outdoor objects is possible. Locations impacted include... Stamford, Norwalk, Danbury, White Plains, New City, Ossining, New Canaan, Monsey, Nanuet, Ramsey, Haverstraw, Tarrytown, Mount Kisco, Nyack, and Tappan.
Instruction: 
If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building. Torrential rainfall is also occurring with these storms and may lead to localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways. A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 900 PM EDT for southern Connecticut...northeastern New Jersey...and southeastern New York.
