Description: 
At 516 PM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near Segundo, or 20 miles west of Trinidad, moving east at 10 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and penny size hail. Torrential rainfall and near stationary storm motions may cause high water in small streams and urban areas. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is possible. Locations impacted include... Trinidad, Cokedale, Starkville, Stonewall, Segundo, Trinchera, Raton Pass, and Weston.

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building. Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways.
