Description:
At 415 PM MDT, a severe thunderstorm was located over Denver
International Airport, or 18 miles northeast of Denver, moving east
at 25 mph.
HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.
SOURCE...Weather station reported. At 411 PM MDT, the Denver
International Airport ASOS reported a 59 mph wind gust.
IMPACT...Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind damage to
roofs, siding, and trees.
Locations impacted include...
Northeastern Commerce City, Brighton, Denver International Airport
and D.I.A Terminal and Concourses.
Instruction:
Seek shelter inside a well-built structure and stay away from
windows. This storm has produced damaging winds and is capable of
producing large hail.
A Tornado Watch remains in effect until 900 PM MDT Monday for a
portion of northeast Colorado.
