Description:
At 410 PM MDT, a severe thunderstorm was located over Castle Rock, or
25 miles south of Denver. This storm was nearly stationary.
HAZARD...Quarter size hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Damage to vehicles is expected. Hail may accumulate on
roadways causing hazardous travel.
Locations impacted include...
Castle Rock, Franktown, southeastern Castle Pines and Castlewood
Canyon.
Instruction:
Seek shelter inside a well-built structure and stay away from
windows. This storm is capable of producing large hail.
Heavy rain is occurring with this storm and may lead to flooding. Do
not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways.
