...Critical Fire Weather Conditions Forecast Friday... .Winds are forecast to be the strongest starting during the early afternoon and peaking during the mid to late afternoon hours. The relative worst and longest duration of the conditions are forecast to be west of Highway 385. There is a less than 10% chance of dry lightning or virga leading to erratic wind gusts during the late afternoon hours. The National Weather Service in Goodland has issued a Red Flag Warning for wind and low relative humidity, which is in effect from 11 AM to 7 PM MDT Friday. * AFFECTED AREA...Fire Weather Zones 252 Yuma, 253 Kit Carson and 254 Cheyenne CO. * TIMING...From 11 AM to 7 PM MDT Friday. * WINDS...South 10 to 20 mph with gusts up to 30 mph. * RELATIVE HUMIDITY...As low as 9 percent. * LIGHTNING...Possible during late afternoon. * IMPACTS...Unpredictable fire behavior. Any fires that develop may rapidly grow and spread out of control.
