* WHAT...Sub-freezing temperatures as low as 26 expected. * WHERE...Portions of east central and northeast Colorado, northwest and west central Kansas, and southwest Nebraska. * WHEN...From 9 PM MDT /10 PM CDT/ this evening to 8 AM MDT /9 AM CDT/ Thursday. * IMPACTS...Frost and freeze conditions could kill crops, other sensitive vegetation and possibly damage unprotected outdoor plumbing. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...If winds can remain lighter and clouds clear then lows may temperatures may fall into the low to mid 20s with the coldest across eastern Colorado.
Instruction: 
Drain in-ground sprinkler systems and cover above ground pipes. Take steps now to protect tender plants from the cold. To prevent water pipes from freezing; insulate or drain or allow them to drip slowly.
