The National Weather Service in Pueblo has issued a
* Dust Storm Warning for...
Northwestern Alamosa County in southeastern Colorado...
Southeastern Saguache County in central Colorado...
* Until 1000 AM MDT.
* At 913 AM MDT, a dust channel was 7 miles north of Hooper, or 25
miles north of Alamosa, moving northeast at 10 mph.
HAZARD...Less than a quarter mile visibility with strong wind in
excess of 50 mph.

IMPACT...Dangerous life-threatening travel.
Hwy 17 and Hooper appears to be the worst visibility, but have
extended the range of the warning to the northeat.
Locations impacted include...
Crestone, Moffat, Hooper, and Great Sand Dunes.
Instruction:
Dust storms lead to dangerous driving conditions with visibility
reduced to near zero. If driving, avoid dust storms if possible. If
caught in one, pull off the road, turn off your lights and keep your
foot off the brake.
