Description:
At 526 PM PDT, a dust storm was located from Pahrump and to the west
through much of Death Valley National Park, moving south at 30 mph.
HAZARD...Less than one quarter mile with damaging wind in excess
of 60 mph.
SOURCE...Detected by satellite imagery.
IMPACT...Dangerous life-threatening travel.
Roads impacted include Nevada Highway 95, California Highway 190,
Badwater Road and California Highway 127.
Locations impacted include...
Pahrump, Stovepipe Wells, Furnace Creek, Shoshone, Panamint Springs,
Texas Springs Campground, Lathrop Wells, Death Valley Junction,
Amargosa Valley, and Tecopa.
Instruction:
Motorists should not drive into a dust storm. PULL ASIDE STAY ALIVE!
