Description:
* WHAT...Blizzard conditions expected. Additional snow accumulations
between 4 and 7 inches with total snow accumulations between 4 and
10 inches, highest near and west of the I-39 corridor. Ice
accumulations up to a light glaze. Winds gusting as high as 45 to
50 mph.
* WHERE...Boone, De Kalb, Lee, Ogle, Winnebago, and McHenry Counties.
* WHEN...Until 1 PM CDT Monday.
* IMPACTS...Whiteout conditions are expected and will make travel
treacherous and potentially life-threatening. Widespread blowing
snow will significantly reduce visibility. The hazardous
conditions will impact the Monday morning commute. Strong winds
could bring down tree branches and cause power outages.
Instruction:
Travel should be restricted to emergencies only. If you must travel,
have a winter survival kit with you. If you get stranded, stay with

expected or occurring. Falling and blowing snow with strong winds
are likely. This will lead to whiteout conditions, making travel
