Description:
* WHAT...South winds 35 to 45 mph, with gusts up to 60 to 75 mph
expected.
* WHERE...Unalaska and Nikolski.
* WHEN...Until 4 PM AKDT Sunday.
* IMPACTS...Gusty winds will blow around unsecured objects and a few
power outages may result.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...The first of two rounds of strong southerly
winds will end later this afternoon, with a second round of
southerly winds arriving late tonight through Sunday morning. For
Unalaska, gusts of up to 65 mph are expected, with the strongest
winds likely occurring with the first round this afternoon. For
Nikolski, gusts of up to 75 mph are expected, with the strongest
winds occurring with the second round later tonight.
Instruction:
People are urged to secure loose objects that could be blown around
or damaged by the wind. Use caution if traveling.
