Description:
* AFFECTED AREA...Delta Junction.
* TIMING...From 10 AM Saturday to 10 PM AKDT Sunday. The primary
threat periods will be Saturday afternoon and Sunday afternoon.
RH values will recover overnight Saturday into Sunday.
* WINDS...South 25 to 35 mph with gusts up to 55 mph.
* HUMIDITY...As low as 20 percent Saturday afternoon and again
Sunday afternoon. RH values should recover into the 40 to 50 percent
range Saturday night.
* TEMPERATURES...Highs in the lower 60s. Lows in the upper 30s.
* IMPACTS...Critical fire weather conditions are expected this
weekend due to a combination of low relative humidity, gusty
winds, and dry fuels. Any new fire starts or existing fires
may spread rapidly.
