Description:
* WHAT...Flooding caused by high water and heavy ice runs continues
to be possible.
* WHERE...Middle Yukon Valley. This includes the cities of Galena,
Nulato, Kaltag, and Koyukuk.
* WHEN...Through Monday evening.
* IMPACTS...High water may result in flooding of rivers, creeks,
streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- Public reports continued minor flooding in the region. High
water and heavy ice runs along the Yukon River and Koyukuk
River will result in continued possible minor flooding
impacts in Galena and Koyukuk. River Watch reports the Yukon
River breakup front has moved past Grayling.
The Yukon River gage at Galena is reporting 123.7 feet as of
330 PM AKDT Sunday May 17th which is in the action stage
flooding category.
