* WHAT...Flooding caused by snowmelt continues.
* WHERE...Koyukuk.
* WHEN...Until 1000 PM AKDT Monday.
* IMPACTS...High water may result in flooding of rivers, creeks,
streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 940 AM AKDT, high water from Yukon River snowmelt has
resulted in flooding in the community of Koyukuk. As of
Monday morning water levels were finally starting to decline.
The stream gauge at Galena shows water levels continuing to
drop. Koyukuk should expect water levels to continue falling
as well. This warning will expire this evening as no further
flood threat is expected.
- The Yukon River gage at Galena is reporting 123.1 feet as of
700 AM AKDT Monday May 18th.
