Description:
* WHAT...Flooding caused by high water and heavy ice runs continues
to be possible.
* WHERE...Galena and Koyukuk.
* WHEN...Until 1000 PM AKDT Monday.
* IMPACTS...High water may result in flooding of rivers, creeks,
streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 800 PM AKDT, public reports continued minor flooding in
the region. High water and heavy ice runs along the Yukon
River and Koyukuk River will result in minor flooding impacts
in Galena and Koyukuk. River Watch reports the Yukon River
breakup front has moved past Grayling.
- The Yukon River gage at Galena is reporting 123.7 feet as of
330 PM AKDT Sunday May 17th which is in the action stage
flooding category.
