Description:
* WHAT...Flooding caused by an ice jam continues.
* WHERE...Including the following areas, Yukon River including Ruby
to Big Eddy and upstream of there.
* WHEN...Until 1000 PM AKDT Thursday.
* IMPACTS...Flooding in low-lying areas.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 524 PM AKDT, The River Watch Team reported an ice jam on
the Middle Yukon River near the mouth of the Yuki River.
Impounding water due to the ice jam may cause rapid river
rises upstream. Properties along River Road in Ruby may be
affected. High water has backed up from Ruby to upstream of
Big Eddy and may affect riverside structures and cabins.
