* WHAT...Flooding caused by an ice jam continues. * WHERE...Fortymile River near Chicken, along the Taylor Highway. * WHEN...Until 1000 PM AKDT Monday. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 429 PM AKDT, As of Sunday evening, we have not heard of any impacts from the Fortymile River ice jam. Latest observations from the Walker Fork gauge show that the river levels dropped Sunday morning and have slightly risen Sunday afternoon, the small rise was most likely due to snow melt, or a combination of snowmelt and an ice jam down river. River levels appear fairly stable around 17.4ft. River levels should gradually go down tonight as the pace of snowmelt slows. - As we hear more information, we will update this advisory as needed. If you are traveling along the Taylor Highway and see flooding from this, please notify authorities. - For Walker Fork 40 Mile at Taylor Hwy: At 3:50pm the stage was 17.4 feet.
