Description:
At 515 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near
Faunsdale, or 8 miles east of Demopolis, moving southeast at 20 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and pea size hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
possible.
Locations impacted include...
Uniontown, Faunsdale, Dayton, Consul, Old Spring Hill, Gallion, and
Laneville.
Instruction:
If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.
A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 700 PM CDT for
central, southwestern and west central Alabama.
