Description:
At 956 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near
Potter Station, or near Selma, moving east at 30 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and half inch hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
possible.
Locations impacted include...
Selma, Valley Grande, Selmont-West Selmont, Autaugaville, Mulberry,
Vida Junction, Gardner Island, Memorial Stadium, Burnsville, Dallas
County Horse Arena, Potter Station, Summerfield, Edmund Pettus
Bridge, Selma University, Barrett Creek, Dawson Mill, and Valley
Creek Junction.
Instruction:
If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.
This storm may intensify, so be certain to monitor local radio

and possible warnings from the National Weather Service.
A Tornado Watch remains in effect until 1100 PM CDT for central and
south central Alabama.
