Description:
At 752 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near
Ashcraft Corner, or 13 miles north of Gordo, moving northeast at 30
mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and penny size hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
possible.
Locations impacted include...
Gordo, Berry, Ashcraft Corner, Boley Springs, Samantha, Binion Creek
Landing, Stone Wall, Moores Bridge, Windham Springs, New Lexington,
Wiley, Echola, Lubbub, and Lake Tuscaloosa.
Instruction:
If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.
Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm.
