Description:
At 543 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along
a line extending from 3 miles northeast of Jackson to 5 miles
northeast of McIntosh to 6 miles west of Calvert. Movement was east
at 35 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and penny size hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor damage to outdoor objects is
possible.
Locations impacted include...
Jackson, Saint Stephens, Wagarville, Leroy, Whatley, Calvert, and
McIntosh.
Instruction:
If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.
A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 900 PM CDT for
south central and southwestern Alabama.
